Our Story

Since 2019, the team behind Smart Base has manufactured UHPC (ultra-high-performance concrete) bases for builders and for use in prefabricated bathroom pods.

Through this experience, we recognised that one of the greatest benefits of bathroom pod construction is the prefabricated monolithic concrete base, with the required falls and perimeter upturn formed during manufacture.

Smart Base was developed to offer this concrete bathroom base as a standalone system. This allows builders to retain conventional onsite construction for the walls, services, waterproofing and finishes while gaining the consistency and efficiency of a prefabricated base.

Our bases are designed to provide a durable, accurately formed wet-area substrate and support compliance with the NCC and relevant Australian Standards when incorporated into the complete wet-area system.
